I built and led the lead generation department. Through an aggressive digital advertising strategy, I leveraged multiple paid media channels, including Google Ads (Search & Display), Facebook Ads, Quora, Reddit, Retargeting, Bing, Quora, AdRoll, and Yahoo Gemini, to drive high-quality leads and significantly boost customer acquisition.
When I first began working with Fortress Gold Group / Bitcoin IRA, the product was still in its early stages. The company had a promising concept—a way for individuals to invest in Bitcoin through their retirement accounts—but it needed a robust marketing strategy to take it to market. I was first brought on as a consultant to help shape that strategy, focusing on branding, website redesign, and paid media setup.
At that time, Bitcoin IRA was a fresh concept in a rapidly evolving market, and my first task was to overhaul its branding to make it more appealing to a mainstream audience. We redesigned the website, making it more user-friendly, and set up multiple paid media channels to drive leads and customer acquisition.
The results were almost immediate. I scaled the company’s digital advertising spend across multiple platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook, Quora, Reddit, Bing, and Yahoo Gemini. Through a strategic mix of search, display, and retargeting campaigns, we saw a dramatic increase in lead volume. The momentum was undeniable, and the success of these campaigns led to me being brought on full-time as the lead for marketing.
Once in-house, I took full responsibility for the lead generation department. I continued to scale our ad spend, growing it to over $880k per month within a year. This aggressive digital strategy led to a 2.2x return on ad spend (ROAS) and generated over $22 million in investments by February 2017, an astounding figure that required the expansion of the sales team to over 25 employees to handle the surge in leads.
Recognizing the power of partnerships, I also created the affiliate partnerships department, partnering with digital influencers in the cryptocurrency and financial services sectors, leveraging their established audiences to boost Bitcoin IRA’s visibility. These partnerships generated an additional $12.7 million in investments in 2017 alone.
To further optimize our efforts, I continuously fine-tuned landing pages based on data-driven insights, using heatmaps and click tracking to improve conversion rates. This optimization helped drive a 29% increase in lead conversions, contributing significantly to the overall growth.
By the time I left Bitcoin IRA, the company had established itself as a leader in the retirement investment space, earning recognition from Forbes for its exceptional performance. My work in scaling digital ad spend, creating strategic partnerships, and optimizing conversion paths helped Bitcoin IRA transform into one of the most recognized names in the cryptocurrency retirement investment space.
